The Principal’s Welcome
Hello and welcome to The School of Joy.
If you’ve found your way here, I’m guessing you’re tired of saving joy for “special occasions” and ready to start living it in the middle of real life — crumbs on the floor, laundry piles, and all.
I’m Gemma, otherwise known as The Principal around here.
I’m also a mother of four, a business owner, a professional joy-hunter, and a firm believer that you don’t need a perfect life to have a joyful one.
For years, I fell into the same trap most of us do:
“I’ll be happy when the house is sorted. When the business is thriving. When I’ve got more time, more energy, more . . . something.”
But the truth? The goalposts kept moving. Life got busier. And joy got pushed further and further down the list.
So I stopped waiting.
I started weaving joy into the everyday, a coffee in the garden, a belly laugh with friends, the way the light hits the kitchen at 4pm.
Not after everything was done, but right there in the middle of the mess.
Now it’s my job to teach you how to do the same.
No toxic positivity. No impossible routines. Just real, sustainable joy, backed by science and delivered with a wink.
