5 Ways to Create and Maintain a Positive Mindset

As I have got older and as my responsibilities have increased I have released how important having a positive mindset is, not only for my own sanity but for my children also, don't get me wrong I know sometimes it is so hard to think positively when the weather is drab and everything seems to be falling apart around you, but I do make a conscious effort to help maintain a positive mindset and thought you might like to know some of thing methods I implement.

1. CHANGE

Sometimes change is good for the soul! Take your laptop or work to a coffee shop for a change of scenery or meet with a

friend or your business bestie to get your creative juices flowing. If you need a complete distraction; take a walk, listen to a podcast or watch an inspiring video, something that will help

focus your mindset and refresh your creativity.

2. FOCUS

Stop focusing on your negatives. It's time to get positive ladies, for instance, "today I got 'X' amount accomplished" . . Instead of "I've not got through my to do list today". It's called your feeding your brain, if you are constantly feeding your brain positive thoughts you will naturally start to think and evaluate situations in a positive manner. Make sure you feed your brain with positive thoughts daily!

3. LIFE HABITS

Positive mindset starts with you, do you look after yourself? Do you nourish your body? Do you make time for you? Prioritise activities that give you those positive feels, for example: - Exercise - Eating Fresh and Nutrient Packed Food - Meditation - Hot Bath (Pamper Time) - Date Night with your partner - Quality Time with your friends and family These activities will have a huge positive effect, I'm talking: - Stress Minimalisation - Relaxation - Feeling Refreshed

4. SAY 'NO'

Look in the mirror and repeat after me . . . . No, No, No!! Seriously ladies, know your limits and stick to them, it's not productive to be busy for the sake of being busy. Obviously its lovely to hep out as many people as possible, but if it leaves you feeling bad because you have let someone down or if you have

missed out on activities that leave you feeling positive (see above) then you need to ask yourself, is it worth it?

5. GIFT IT

I am a firm believer in you, 'you reap what you sow'. Every opportunity you get, spread a little bit of positivity! Tell someone you like their outfit, smile at your neighbour. Notice how others reactions and comments effect your mood

and ensure that you create and leave a trail of positivity wherever you go and in return you will start to notice the positive energy flowing right back at you!

I would love for you to take even just one of the above points and implement them into your daily life this week.

Please let me know any other ways that you help maintain a positive mindset.
