Our 7 Family Beach Holiday Essentials | Summer 2016
Updated: Dec 19, 2019

Home, fresh faced from Menorca, we are sharing with you the 7 items that made our week in the sun that little bit easier.
Make that three trunkies! Each of the children received their own trunki this Christmas, and we filled them to the brim with snacks, colouring, books, their holiday essentials (sun hats, glasses etc) small toys and their favourite soft friend! They were AMAZING at the airport, I acrtually think they were designed with our children in mind. The trunkis were used by all of us to rest our 3am wobbly legs, plus kept the children and most of the queue entertained during check in and security.
Ibizia bikini by Free from Bravissimo
I have always found it so hard to find comfortable, flattering and fashionable swimwear. Having been blessed with a slightly larger bust, I have often shied away from swimming trips and beach outings due to feeling self-conscious and uncomfortable. I decided I wanted to fully participate in our family holiday so invested in this bikini and it is fantastic. I measured myself at home using the Bravissimo website and like many woman was wearing completely the wrong size. I searched their website, reading every review and settled on this bikini, andI am so glad I did. I will be placing another order very soon, every girls needs at least two bikinis right?
I cannot begin to explain how in love with our new towels I am! They are thiner than our tea towels but more absorbent than the majority of our bath room towels! I slipped them into a spare corner of the suitcase and carried them around everywhere with me on the holiday! Once you go turkish towelling you will never go back!!

I spent months searching for the perfect beach bag, and was willing to make a financial investment into a bag that would be lightweight, versatile and stylish. Feeling deflated, I stumbled upon this tote the week before our holiday and at £12.99 thought if it was no good I could just throw it away after the holiday! This tote is roomy enough for a mummy of three and was filled to the brim each day, needless to say it has remained a firm favourite carry-all bag now we are back in the UK.
Grass Print Picnic Blanket from Kate Spade
Okay it is grass print, which works really well on our English countryside picnics and it may have caused a few Spanish locals to stop and stare . . . after all its not every day you see a spot of luscious green grass on the island of Menorca let along on the beach ;-) But I am addicted to this picnic blanket, its so lightweight, with its own little travel bag its perfect to pop into your beach bag and did I mention it looks like perfect English grass?!?
Liz Earl Skin Repair Moisturiser
At 31 years young, and with skin that hasn't seen proper sun in over 9 years, I have decided to start taking care of my skin and Liz Earles skincare range is doing that for me! There was no way I was leaving this bottle of miracle lotion behind..
Non spill, easy to use, no smelling and with so many designs to chose from, there really is nothing more you could ask for from child's drinking bottle!
We would love to hear what your holiday essentials are!
Love
Gemma
